Accessibility
I want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. It is built toward the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and the Israeli Standard IS 5568. Accessibility here is an ongoing effort, not a one-time check.
What I’ve done
The site uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure and landmarks. It is fully keyboard navigable, with a “Skip to content” link and visible focus outlines. Interactive controls, like the work carousel and its arrows and dots, have descriptive labels for screen readers. Text aims for sufficient colour contrast against its background, meaningful images carry text alternatives, and purely decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
Motion
If your device is set to “reduce motion”, scroll-based reveals and animations are turned off, and a static image stands in for the animated hero. Nothing flashes, auto-plays with sound, or moves in a way you cannot control.
Known limitations
The work showcase is an interactive coverflow. It is operable with the on-screen arrows and dots, which are keyboard-focusable, but I keep refining the experience. As a personal site I build and maintain myself, some areas may still fall short. If you hit one, I want to know.
Found a problem?
If anything is hard to see, reach, or operate, please tell me at tiranyas@gmail.com. Let me know the page and what got in your way, and I’ll fix it as quickly as I can.
